SunDance will start with standardizing the data and then perform any necessary tasks such as de-dupe, merge/purge and suppression maximize postage savings. The database is then NCOAed (National Change of Address) to capture any new move updates on your database. All direct mail campaigns are then ran thru ACE (Address Correction and Encoding). ACE corrects and standardizes address data and assigns codes for postal automation, data enrichment, and other purposes. Then it is off to presorting and output to complete your campaign.

Types of Foil

A variety of different types of foil can be used in the foil stamping press printing process. SunDance offers an extensive color selection of foils, including holographic foils, custom foil colors, metallic foils, gloss or matte pigment foils, special effects foils—and even refractive patterns that can be added to the stamp to produce an eye-catching three-dimensional image range of options.

Foil Sleeking

Foil sleeking uses a special laminating process to create a look very similar look to traditional hot foil methods. This method can be used with coated or matte papers, and offers more flexibility and cost-savings compared to hot foiling. During the process, areas to be foiled are overprinted in 100% black, and those printed sheets are fed through a laminator where the foil then adheres only to the printed portion. After the foil is complete, the remainder of the image is printed. The same process can be used with spot UV or gloss, with the effect working over any color. The end results is a seamless combination of variable data foil techniques and high-end aesthetic at a lower cost and fast turnaround time compared to traditional methods.

Die Cutting

Die Cutting is the process of stamping a printed piece with a custom shape much like a cookie cutter called a die. A die can be used to cut the corners off of playing cards or business cards, to take sections out of a piece to create windows, and to form elaborate effects such lace. Many companies have their own dies with brand specific shapes, but the majority of dies are standardized templates or shapes, such as circles.

Embossing

Embossing uses a stamping method much like Die Cutting, however the paper is not cut, but rather stamped with a shape. The relief or impression that the stamping creates gives a printed piece dimension. Often used to make logos stand off the page, it can also be used for design elements or to create a general texture. It can be used in tandem with various finishes such as foil for an even more impressive effect.

Diebossing

Diebossing (also known as inline embossing/diebossing dies) combines two powerful finishing services - die cutting and embossing/debossing - into one single process (and one stunning effect!). This can save on setup time and costs without skimping on the “wow” factor. In a single pass, you can die cut and create embossing (create a sculptured effect that is above the substrate), debossing (create a sculptured effect that is below the substrate) and texture (special patterns to create dimensional, tactile images) effects.

Flexo In-Line Rotary Die Cutting

Originally a hand-cranked method to create cardboard boxes, the Rotary Die system has evolved to become a high-tech inline process commonly done while printing or finishing die-cut pieces in large runs. The Flexo Rotary uses a flexible metal die much like a printing plate with angled cuts that create scores, cuts or even remove sections of the printed piece, all in one pass.

That makes more complicated projects more cost effective and more precise in larger runs. This includes pieces like custom cut business cards and hang tags, to lace cut paper designs, unique shaped postcards and custom presentation folders with knockouts. The uses and options are endless.

• Wall Wrap Basics. A wall wrap is a vinyl film with a pressure sensitive adhesive pre-applied.  An over-laminate can be applied for added durability, ease of cleaning and sometimes for artistic effect.  Finally, the wrap is applied to a wall or other surface, and it’s that simple!  Wall wraps can adhere to painted, brick, masonry and other types of walls – regardless of the wall construction, there is a wrap that can adhere and conform to its texture.
• Types of Vinyl. Cast or Calendered? The choice is dependent on how long you plan to leave the wall graphic in place. Shorter term installations are fine with calendered vinyl, while cast vinyl is better suited for longer term installations. The difference between the two has to do with the manufacturing process.  You give us your specs and our 3M MCS certified team will help you find the best material for your needs!
• Overlaminate. The overlaminate, which can be gloss or matte, plays an important role in the protection of the vinyl and makes it easier to clean. If your wall graphic is high up on a building, you will have different overlamination requirements than if it is in an environment such as a child’s room or hospital. Our experienced team will help you make the right choices.
• Wall Testing. One of the most critical steps in a well décor project is testing the target wall. There are many things that can affect the installation, including type and age of paint, humidity, sunlight exposure and more. The last thing any of us wants is for the wall covering to fall off the wall! Our 3M MCS certified team will test your wall and recommend the perfect wall wrap, adhesive and overlaminate to ensure that your project stays up and vibrant for as long as you need.
• Printing and Installation. All of our wall coverings are printed using the latest eco-friendly latex inks, resulting in stunning productions that are extremely durable. And our expert installers take into consideration all of the small details that make an installation perfect – windows, doors, electrical outlets HVAC registers, light switches. Canvas printing, sometimes referred to as Giclee printing, is the process of large format printing on canvas. Like traditional fine art printing, these are of the highest quality and are considered prints, not reproductions.

While printed using a large format printer similar to a large inkjet or digital printer, these canvas prints use archival quality inks and color matching to achieve the highest quality print available.

These canvas prints can then be Gallery Wrapped, or stretched to fit on stretcher bars with the overprint covering the sides, making them perfect for framing or going frameless.
