Maker Faire
Started in 2006, Maker Faires have popped up all around the globe with parents, students, scientists, and garage tinkerers displaying their wares, exhibiting their inventions and meeting others in their space.
Orlando has hosted a Maker Faire since 2009. Originally coined the Orlando Mini Maker Faire, the Orlando event has outgrown venues over the years, the last of which being the Orlando Science Center.
In its ninth year, the Maker Faire Orlando will be held this weekend, October 21st & 22nd, at the Central Florida Fairgrounds & Expo Halls (4603 W Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32808).
