Brands are Returning to Print Magazines & Catalogs
In our increasingly digital world, consumers get fewer tangible items to enjoy, or any mail that isn’t junk! A magazine can enable a slower, deeper connection with a customer; be passed from person to person, live on a coffee table, educate, delight, and evoke a full brand story.
Microsoft celebrated its 50th anniversary this year by launching a print magazine. They’ve already published two issues, with a third coming soon.
And as the holiday season approaches, many brands are using nostalgia to activate buyers. Penguin Random House is offering a Year in Books catalog by request, encouraging readers to browse through and circle their favorites as gift ideas for loved ones a la toy catalogs of the 90s.

Many more brands are using print magazines or catalogs to connect more tangibly with customers. Oatly, So Yummy, Hinge, Bottega Veneta, and of course Red Bull, to name just a few.
