INTA Daily Newspaper
Euromoney Trading Ltd, based in the United Kingdom, was responsible for finding an Orlando area printer with a scope of solutions to print the INTA Daily Newspaper. Based on its strategic location 10 minutes from the Orange County Convention Center and capabilities, SunDance was selected to produce the daily newspaper.
SunDance, with its scope of capabilities, was easily able to meet all of the production and delivery needs of INTA. Over a five day period, SunDance would receive the files at 10:00 pm and would need to deliver the final INTA Daily Newspaper the next day by 7:00 am. The INTA Daily Newspaper would vary in size of from 12 to 20 pages over the five days.
The International Trademark Association (INTA) is the global association of trademark owners and professionals dedicated to supporting trademarks and related intellectual property in order to protect consumers and to promote fair and effective commerce. Why are trademarks important?
INTA’s members are more than 6,700 organizations from 190 countries. INTA members collectively contribute almost US $12 trillion / €8.8 trillion / ¥73 trillion to global GDP annually. For comparison, the 2015 annual GDP of the top three markets was $10.9 trillion (China), $16.2 trillion (European Union) and $17.9 trillion (United States). The Association's member organizations represent some 30,000 trademark professionals and include brand owners from major corporations as well as small- and medium-sized enterprises, law firms and nonprofits. There are also government agency members as well as individual professor and student members. INTA undertakes advocacy work throughout the world to advance trademarks and offers educational programs as well as informational and legal resources of global interest.
Headquartered in New York City, INTA also has offices in Brussels, Shanghai, Singapore and Washington D.C. and representatives in Geneva and New Delhi. The not-for-profit Association was founded in 1878 by 17 merchants and manufacturers who saw a need for an organization “to protect and promote the rights of trademark owners, to secure useful legislation and to give aid and encouragement to all efforts for the advancement and observance of trademark rights."
From May 21 – 25, 2016 INTA hosted the largest Annual Meeting in its history in Orlando, Florida. The number of brand management, trademark and IP professionals registered for this year’s Annual Meeting in Orlando topped 10,115 at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2016.
